Bunions

Bunions

A bunion is a bony bump that forms at the base of the big toe. It develops when the bones in the front of the foot shift out of place, causing the big toe to angle inward toward the second toe. Over time, this misalignment pushes the joint outward, creating a visible and often painful bump on the side of the foot.

Arthritis

Arthritis

Arthritis in the feet and ankles develops when inflammation and cartilage loss affect the many joints that support movement. This can lead to pain, stiffness, and swelling that interfere with daily life. Our approach focuses on accurate diagnosis and tailored treatment to restore comfort and mobility.

A Thorough Diagnostic Approach to Podiatry

Evaluations are designed to reach deep into underlying causes, rather than just on the surface. When you arrive for your appointment, you may look forward to:

  • A detailed physical examination
  • In-office X-rays
  • Ultrasound imaging for soft tissues
  • Gait and biomechanical assessment
  • Laboratory testing is appropriate when for underlying metabolic or inflammatory conditions

This enables us to uncover the root cause of your pain and develop a treatment plan tailored to your needs.

Non-Surgical & Surgical Treatment Options

Your treatment path depends on your diagnosis, goals, and lifestyle.

Non-surgically, methods could include:

  • Custom orthotics or footwear guidance
  • Cortisone injections for inflammation
  • Bracing or off-loading devices
  • Activity modifications or Physical Therapy
  • Anti-inflammatory drugs

Right from your first visit through follow-up, the same staff will see you for any follow-up visits that may occur after surgery.

We will do our best to accommodate your busy schedule. Request an appointment today!
